My client, an International Engineering Company’s Property Management Division is currently seeking a qualified Assistant Facility Manager for their Winnipeg office. This position Assists the Facility Manager in the delivery of the following duties: Managing client relationships for a variety of clients and interfacing with tenant representatives. In addition to responding to facility alarms, mechanical/electrical systems failures, and building occupant complaints, the Assistant Facility Manager will assign daily responsibilities to team members and provide technical guidance and direction to operations staff. Plus, Delivery of all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the buildings and grounds, including contract inspections, staff supervision, contract supervision, development of training plans and action plans. The Assistant FM Ensures that all unit logs, records and schedules are maintained and updated as required. Adherence to rules, regulations, processes, best practices and procedures. Assists in administration of Leasehold agreements Ensuring staff compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, standards, policies, procedures and practices. Ensure financial targets and objectives are met. Development, implementation and monitoring of a capital and repair program. Ensure financial targets are met. In the absence of the Facility Manager, attend meetings on his/her behalf and be responsible for the delivery of all activities related to the Facility Manager.
Minimum of five (5) years related experience. Experience in maintaining and managing all building services utilizing contractors and in-house staff. Working knowledge of, building, fire, safety and industry codes and regulations. Ability to make effective technical decisions in emergency situations. Excellent leadership skills with solid verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with some working knowledge of PowerPoint. A Post-secondary diploma or in the process of obtaining a degree in Building Sciences. A BOMA and/or IFMA designation would be an asset. Valid Drivers License. This position pays $55,000 - $65,000 + excellent benefits + room for growth.
